News on Jericho’s Attack on Rey Mysterio, Lance Storm Visiting RAW, More

- It’s interesting to note that the Time Warner and AOL merger will be officially over by the end of this year. Some people familiar with the situation feel that the merger was one of the main reasons that WCW died as it caused Time Warner to pull the plug on WCW.

- Lance Storm noted on his website, StormWrestling.com, that he has spoke to the WWE office about attending the RAW tapings in Calgary this coming August and will likely be there to see everyone.

- If you didn’t see SmackDown this week, Chris Jericho made a sneak attack in the main event as he was in the crowd rocking a Rey Mysterio mask and t-shirt. Mysterio even touched masks with Jericho like he was a fan during his entrance. Francisco, who was in attendance at the tapings, provided the following details:

I was at the arena for the tapings, and actually got to see Jericho walking into the crowd before the segment started. Right then, I knew it was about to be fantastic.

He walked in facing down and walking calmly giving the impression that he was just another fan (although he did walk out of the backstage area). He snuck in without security (again, giving the impression that he was just another fan wanting to ‘butt heads’ with Mysterio) and even crouched at the guard rail.

He hid his hands so that the “adult” hands could not be seen, and just waited there for about a minute. Then, the fantastic attack. I’ve seen it on Hulu about 10 times now. Damn it was good.
